New craft room nearly up and running ...

Hello friends!

Well, the move back to Canada finally happened and it went as smoothly as was possible.  The boys are back in their old schools and we lived with our wonderful neighbours for 2 months!!  But we are at last back in our home!!  Yippee  :)

Trying to juggle emptying boxes, sorting closets and getting things back into place, on top of working (yes, I got a job!!), I finally got to my craft room a few days ago!  I chose this gorgeous shade of turquoise (Sea Wave) which is my absolute favourite colour and together with a spending spree at Ikea for my new craft furniture, ta da .... the new home of Delightful Designs by Danielle!!

I can't even beging to tell you how thrilled I am how everything is coming together!  I still have a ways to go and a few more boxes to empty, but it's like Christmas has come early!!  LOL  The joy as I open the boxes and discover more lovely crafting goodies!!

Well, there's my update.  Hopefully one more week and I will be fully up and running and functional - just in time to create some last minute Christmas cards!  Hope you're all keeping well and I will get back to some regular blogging in the new year!

Take care,

Danielle xo

Early Holiday Wishes ... a Simply Create Too DT project!

Hello!

Happy Friday folks!  So, we have made the move back to Ottawa and the boys have settled back into their old schools with such ease!  Life is still a little frantic as I continue to dot the i's and cross all the t's!!  My husband is still in Boston until mid November as things wrap up with his job.  All our stuff still needs to be packed up so no crafting for me in the foreseeable future (at least 2-3 months)!

I do, however, have this creation for you today as it is my DT project for the Simply Create Too challenge that is going on today ... "Early Holiday Wishes".  This is the first time I have coloured this gorgeous Poinsettia Tilda, what an absolute pleasure she was to colour!  The rest of the card fell into place really nicely and I just love the finished look!  Papers, flowers, lace, pearls & embellies are all from stash.  The sentiment die cut is new to my stash - loving these!

I hope you can pop over to the Simply Create Too challenge and feel inspired to join in and get a head start on some of those holiday cards!!

Here's the finished inside of the card too.  Simple but complementary of the main card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I always appreciate your visits and the time you take to leave any comments.  Have a wonderful start to the weekend and until next time ... happy crafting!!

A quick hello and some news ...

Hello folks!

A quick card today from me.  This is one I made last week with an image that had already been coloured up and sitting in my "to make" pile!

Before anything else, I will share some news with you all.  We have been currently living in the Boston area for the last year, having moved from Ottawa in Canada for my husband's work.  Last week we were notified that my husband is being laid off.  So in the space of 24 hrs our life has been turned upside down and we are now in the throes of organising the family's move back to Ottawa.  It has all happened very quickly and a little suddenly but it's not a bad thing.  My kids are thrilled to be moving back home and to their old schools.  We heard last night that we can get back into our own home (it was rented for 2 years but the tenants have found alternative accommodation after finding out our news).  So, as of next week I will be moving back with my boys.  I am now in the midst of packing boxes and trying to get organised.  So with all that said, I will absent from my blog for the next little while.

Back to the card, Tilda is coloured with copics and I used a very simple and sweet layout.  I love the effect of the banners and the crochet flower for the finishing touch.  The sentiment is one of my new die cuts I have just added to my collection.

That's all for now.  I don't have time to scroll through all the different challenges, LOL!  I do appreciate your visit though and I thank you for popping in and leaving me a comment.  Not sure when I'll be back so until then ... happy crafting!!

Hugs,
Danielle x

Hello Little Baby!

Hello there!

It's been a rainy overcast weekend so I've managed time at my craft desk which has been very productive!

An old school friend of mine has just had a baby boy after trying for more than 12 years!  I am so thrilled for her that they are now finally a family after welcoming a beautiful baby boy!  So, of course a baby card was in order to send over to the UK to offer my congratulations!

These adorable stamps from PWCO have proven to be an absolute essential staple to my stamp collection, especially for making adorable baby cards!  This giraffe is one of my favourites for sure.  I stamped it first on the white then again on the yellow cardstock and cut it out, glueing it on top.  The rest of the card is CASed from a project I saw on Pinterest.  The papers, ribbon, button & sentiment are all from my stash.  I used a Darice embossing folder for the bottom panel.  Sentiment is from SU!

Some challenges I am entering:-

One Stitch at a Time Challenge - Anything Goes with 4 Legged Friends
Inspiration Destination Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - Buttons & Bows
Just Add Ink - Card for Male
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Bingo (Ribbon/Lace / Blue / Buttons)

Thanks for visiting me over at my blog!  I always love seeing you here and if have left me a comment, I thank you with much gratitude and will hop on over and take a peek at your lovely blog!  That's all from me for now so until next time .... happy crafting!!

A Bouquet of Heartfelt wishes ...

Happy Wednesday folks!

I had a quiet day and felt the need the colour yesterday so I sat and coloured in this Tiddly Inks beauty!

This is the first time she is being inked up.  I am absolutely loving my new Tiddly Inks rubber - I think I want them all!!  LOL  This was such a delight to colour with my copic markers and I had fun with the grass too!  The heart flowers are also part of this stamp set.  To finish off the card I used the die cut word and added some sequins.

Challenges I'm entering:-

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Have Heart
Papertake Weekly Challenge - To Die For (use a die cut)
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge - Share your Favourite Colour (Teal blue)

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for your visit and as always, I love to read your comments so please leave one to let me know you stopped by!  I'm off now to go and do some back to school supply shopping with my boys, much to their dismay!  Have a great day and until next time ... happy crafting!!

A simple Happy Birthday!

Hello all!

After a super busy weekend I'm now getting a chance to post this card which was gifted to a friend a while ago.  Had a fab time visiting the Boston Science Museum with the family and we got to visit the Pixar Animation Exhibit which was superb.  My kids loved seeing the computer technical stuff behind the animated movies.

So this card is a pretty simple male birthday - sometimes I really enjoy making male cards as they don't require any "fluff" or embellishments!  Clean and simple is the way to go and at times that works just perfectly for me!!

I pulled out the cuttlebug happy birthday embossing folder for this one and kept the rest of the card pretty simple with the sentiment and three punched out stars.  I love the colour combo of teal & brown.  A simple bow tied with twine adds the finishing touch.

Thanks for popping by today - I do hope you're able to leave a comment to let me know you stopped in!  It's another scorcher here today so pool time will be on the agenda later!  Hope you're having a fab day wherever you are and until next time .... happy crafting!!

Simply Create Too ...

Happy Friday folks!

Today is another challenge over at Simply Create Too and it's Anything Goes!  I have made this sweet card which includes a mini envelope on it for attaching a gift card.

I'm not usually a yellow person but I do like this colour combo and the embossed yellow cardstock is so beautiful that I had to use it!  The black & white panel is made up of strips of decorated fabric tape with strips of bling down each end to add some sparkle!  The crochet flower and pearl brad are from my stash and the sentiment is SU!.

Other challenges I'm entering:-

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Spots & Stripes

Another beautiful day here which I'm looking forward to spending with friends.  The weekend is set to be gorgeous too so full-on activities with the kids - Boston Science Museum and the beach!!  Yippee!!

Have a wonderful Friday everyone and thanks for stopping in.  Thank you for all your lovely comments - each and every one is so appreciated!  Until next time ... happy crafting!

O Christmas Tree!

Hello!

It's a rainy day here in Massachusetts so I decided to make a christmas card and get ahead on building up my stash for the holidays!

I love this tree stamp by Sunshine Designs (it's an older one) that I have in my stash.  I coloured up the image with my copic markers and added stickles and sequins for some sparkle.  The background paper is from Echo Park Home for the Holidays - I loved how the argyle pattern mimicked the pattern on the middle tree!  Sentiment is from my stash.

Challenges I'm entering:-

Winter Wonderland - Christmas songs/carols "O Christmas Tree"
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Christmas Card Challenges - Anything Goes
Moving along with the Times - Snow in Summertime

Thanks for your visit today and I hope you're able to leave a comment so I know you've stopped by!   Until next time ... happy crafting!!

Because nice matters ...

Happy hello folks!

This is one of my new Tiddly Inks stamps which hadn't been inked up yet so I had fun with this one. I just love her - such a cute and wonderfully tender image!

I coloured her up with my copics and am really pleased with how she turned out. I used the dot technique on her wings (first time I'm really trying this) and was quite happy with the result!  I followed a pretty simple sketch and just finished the card off with a beautiful flower & sentiment.

Challenges I'm entering in:-

Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Bizzy Becs Store Challenge - August - Anything Goes
Tiddly Inks Challenge - Paws for Thought (Animal image)
The Ribbon Girl Challenge - Any Image challenge

That's all for now!  Off to enjoy the rest of this gorgeous sunny day!  Until next time ... happy crafting!

Oceans of good wishes ...

Happy Sunday!

I found some time to craft this week - yippee!!  When the weather is so nice outside I find it difficult to sit at my craft desk ... I would much rather be out in the sunshine as summer always flies by so fast!!

Sooo, today I have this sweet Tilda for you.  She is exactly where I love to be - at the beach!!  Collecting sea shells and seaglass is something I absolutely love to do so I loved colouring up this little beauty!  I coloured up with copic markers.

I kept the card layout pretty simple.  I love the cloud paper from Magnolia and I embossed the bottom panel of kraft cardstock.  I added a simple white ribbon across the join and the sentiment is one from my stash which I thought worked perfectly with the image.

Sending a Birthday Text!

Happy Friday Folks!

I want to share this card with you today.  It is my son's 17th Birthday today and this is the card I made for him.  As any typical guy his age, they live on their phones and constantly text, LOL!  I love this Mo Manning image and it was the first time I've inked this up!

Image is coloured with copic markers.  Male cards are always pretty simple as there really isn't too much one can do to "dress up" the card!  Paper is from BG Wander 6x6 pack, sentiment is Verve and the adhesive dots are Michaels.  I actually really love how this turned out and my son loved it too, especially what was inside it ($100 gift card)!!!

I'm off to take my dog for a run before the heat of the day sets in!  Then this afternoon will be spent enjoying some pool time with the kids.  It's going to be a hot weekend so we'll be heading off to the beach too - can't wait!!

Have a fabulous Friday everyone and thanks for stopping by!  Always great to see you here!  Have a fantastic weekend and until next time ... happy crafting!!

Wedding Wishes

Hi there!

So I get to share with you the wedding card that I made for our friends whose wedding we attended in Ottawa back in June.  One of the many reasons I love making cards is that I am able to custom create my cards to any colour or theme that I wish.  For this, I used their wedding colours and added a burlap/lace border which they used as table runners at their reception.

The stamp, which I absolutely adore, is a Tiddly Inks and coloured up with copic markers.  I created the sky & grass which reflected their outdoor wedding.

I decided to use an easel design as I wanted to incorporate flowers & a sentiment and this allowed me to do it perfectly!  I finished off by adding some twine and sequins - the shabby chic touch complete!

I custom made their envelope too using the SU! Envelope punch board.  I made a bellyband using the burlap/lace ribbon.  The sentiment is from SU!.

Some challenges I'm entering:-

Papertake Weekly - Product Theme (use lace)
Craft Your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Creative Moments Challenge - Anything Goes/Bing (lace, image, sentiment)
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek today.  Always love seeing you here!  It has been very hot these last few days so I'm taking advantage and being poolside.  Summer days always seem to go by so very quickly so I like to make the most of them whilst we can!

Until next time ... happy crafting!

I'm back from Canada ... normal service to resume!!

Hi there!

My family and I went for a visit and wedding to Ottawa back in June.  We had a wonderful time, but with my eldest son returning to live there and finish off his final year of high school, we ended up having to stay on for an additional 3.5 weeks for him to complete a math course at summer school!  He successfully completed it and we are now back in Boston for the remainder of the summer!  He will return in a months time ... so lots of changes coming up for us as we stay in Boston and he embarks on a new life back in Ottawa.  I am very excited for him as this is something he desperately wants to do and hey, at some point one has to cut those apron strings!!  Lol!  I am extremely proud of him for taking such a huge step in his young life at 17!

Anyways, here is my card (sorry it's late) for the current Simply Create Too challenge "For a precious child".  I used a "new to me" stamp by Verve and created the moon using an embossed circle punched out.  The stars, paper, vellum, ribbon & sequins are all from my stash.

Here's the finished inside of the card too.  This was sent to a friend who recently had their first little baby boy.

I hope you get a chance to stop by and play in the latest challenge.  Thanks for stopping in today - your visits and comments are always greatly appreciated!  I have a lot of blog hopping and commenting to catch up on!  Have a wonderful day friends .... and happy crafting!  Until next time!

Vintage Shabby Chic - a Simply Create Too challenge

Hi there folks!

Happy Friday and welcome to my first posting as DT member for Simply Create Too challenge blog!  I am excited today to be showing you my vintage/shabby chic creation for today's challenge.  I hope you are able to pop on over and join in!

I used an adorable set of stamps from Maya Road for this card - aren't those birds just the cutest!  I added gesso around the edges of the card and papers to give some extra shabby chic style!  The embellishments are all from my stash.

I hope you enjoy my card today and if you are feeling vintage/shabby chic creative be sure to link up your card to the Simply Create challenge here.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I'm heading up to Canada today for the next two weeks - the boys finish up school and we have a wedding to attend next weekend!  I get to hang out with my girlfriends for the next couple of weeks - so excited!!

Teacher Thank You!

Happy Wednesday folks!

It's that time of year again when teacher cards & gifts are needed.  With only one son left in Elementary school the number of teacher gifts/cards is minimal.  Jacob's teacher loves coffee (who doesn't!!) so I bought a gift card loaded with caffeine!  I always try to buy/make the teachers something that they will use and appreciate.

The card design is pretty straight forward.  I don't have any of the typical teacher type stamps so I went simple with my card and haven't used an image.  The coffee stamps are from a Fiskars set and the sentiment on the tag is from Verve.  Papers are all from my scrap pile (great way to use up those pesky scraps)!!  Buttons and twine finish off the card.  I also inked up all the edges with some brown ink to add interest.

I have a few more things to get done before we head up to Canada on Friday for a couple of weeks.  The boys finish up school for the summer on Friday - good thing as they have already "checked out" and are ready for summer vacation to begin!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-

Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes #266
Inspiration Destination Challenge - Always Anything Goes #38
Crafting from the Heart - Always Anything Goes
Scribble & Scrap Challenge - Always Anything Goes

That's all for today folks!  Hope you have a fab day and thanks for stopping by - always appreciate your visits!  Until next time ... happy crafting!

Friends are the Flowers of Life

Hello there!

Apologies for my little mini disappearing act!!  I have picked up my crochet hook again and was busy having loads of fun with that last week!  I made my first baby beanie hat & flowers and now I'm working on a baby blanket.  I'm teaching myself so it's a slow & steady process.  I am loving it though.

Anyways, some friends are off to pastures new so this is a card I made for them.  Her favourite colours are red & black and I used a gorgeous new stamp, recently added to my collection, from Tiddly Inks.  She is adorable and so easy to colour with my copics.  The rest of the card just fell into place quite nicely.  The sentiment comes with the stamp.  DP is from MME Reds, absolutely love it! The swirl in a die cut and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I'm going to enter this into the following challenges:-

Wags 'n Whiskers Challenge - Seeing Spots
Scribble & Scrap Challenge & Blog - Always Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping in today.  Always lovely to see you and I appreciate your visits very much.  Until next time ... happy crafting!

Beautiful card .... plus some exciting news!!

Happy Friday folks!

It has been a gorgeous week of weather here in Massachusetts so I've been sunning myself by the pool and whilst that has been fabulous, my crafting does tend to take a bit of a back seat at this time of year!!  However, I have this lovely card to show you today.  I have also been very lucky this past week and have won two challenges so am excited to add some new digi images to my collection!  Thank you Creative Moments and Crafting from the Heart!

First off though, I want to share my exciting news which is I have been selected to join the DT for the challenge blog Simply Create Too.  I am thrilled to be a part of this fun team and look forward to sharing some fun challenges with you all.  Be sure to check out their current challenge and join in!

Back to the card, the sentiment is Verve and is one of my favourites!  It's a pretty simple design with the main focus being on the sentiment.  Papers, ribbon, lace & flowers are all from my stash.

Challenges I will enter this in:

Craft your Passion - Always Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

That's all for today!  I did get happy mail this week from Tiddly Inks so I think I'll have a play today and hopefully have something to share with you in the next couple of days.  Have a wonderful Friday and until next time, happy crafting!!

Boxed Card Set

Hi folks!

I'm sitting here with a numb mouth after just having had two crowns done at the dentist!  So I figured I may as well blog and try and keep my mind off the drooling mouth, haha!!

I made this sweet little boxed set of cards the other day.  I went clean and simple with the design and essentially just stamped an image onto a piece of white Spectrum Noir colouring paper to fit the size of a 4.25 x 8.5 card.  Each image is coloured with copics.  I have used LOTV images for the complete set.  The white panel is matted with a co-ordinating colour cardstock before being adhered to the card.

Image is now retired from LOTV (I believe) and the sentiment is Verve.

Mille stamp is now retired from LOTV and the sentiment is Verve.

Another retired LOTV image (I believe) and the sentiment is TPC Studio

This is the box envelope that I made using my SU! punch board!  Love this tool and definitely couldn't craft without it now!!  I think I will be saving this item and gifting it to one of my son's school teachers as an end of year thank you gift.  Everyone needs a handy little stash of gift cards, right?!

Thanks for stopping in today!  I always appreciate your visits and your comments are so welcomed and enjoyed.  Until next time ... happy crafting!

It's wedding season ...

Hello!

The days just seem to be flying by and even though I don't work outside of the home now I am amazed at just how quickly the hours in the day go by!!

I was commissioned to make a wedding card with red & black being the predominant wedding colours.  I love this Greeting Farm stamp - so fun to colour!  I used my copics to colour.  Papers are all from my stash and the pretty roses background is from an old DCWV pad I had stashed away!  The embellishments are all from my stash - I really love adding the single sequins - they make such a fab touch.

This is the inside of the finished card.  All sentiments are from SU! and I paper pierced around the border to give some added interest.

This is the custom made envelope and belly band I made for the card.  I used the SU! Envelope punch board to make this.  I used the same roses background paper on the belly band to compliment the card and stamped a fun sentiment on the front.

Some challenges I'm entering:-

Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Ribbon Girl Challenge - A Shaped Card or Anything Goes
Creative Moments - Anything Goes

That's all for today folks!  Thanks for stopping in - always appreciate your visits here!  Until next time ... happy crafting!

A Tilda Peek-a-Boo card ...

Happy Saturday peeps!

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek today!  I made this card on Thursday and decided to try out the sweet Peek-a-Boo tutorial posted on Splitcoatstampers here.  Super easy to follow and just a delight to put together.

My two Tilda's are coloured with copic markers and Tilda with Spring Heart has her dress paper-pieced (I haven't done that in a while either)!  The papers are K&Co Watercolour Bouquet.  I added some new flowers to my stash that arrived last week from Wild Orchid Crafts - first time I'm using the gorgeous chrysanthemums.  Lace, punches and twine are all from my stash.

As you open the card the second images slips into place and for that I chose Tilda with Spring Heart - isn't she just adorable!  The sentiment is a $1.50 find from Michaels.  I dedicate this card to my mother as tomorrow we celebrate Mother's Day here in the USA/Canada.

A few of the challenges I will enter:-

Allsorts Challenge - At least 2 die cuts (nestabilities, frame & leaves)

Love You to the Moon ... and Back!

Hello!

Apologies for the last few days of silence - I have started a 30 day detox & cleanse and the first few days are always pretty tough!  I am thankfully now past the worst of the headaches & yucky feeling ... really makes you realise how easily your body gets addicted to sugar & caffeine!  I am 4lbs down after 3 days and feeling much perkier, so hopefully my crafting desk will get some attention today!

I have this card to show you today though.  This is an adorable LOTV image which has been sitting in my "coloured" stash for ages so I figured it was about time I did something with him!  It's a very clean & simple card.  I embossed the back panel to give the impression of the moon.  I found the adorable sentiment stamp in the $1.50 at Michaels "love you to the moon & back".  Image is coloured with copic markers.

A couple of challenges I'm entering:-

Craft Your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes #260
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (with optional no patterned paper)

Thanks for stopping in today - it's always great to see you and I appreciate each & every comment that is left - thank you!  Hope you enjoy the rest of your day - it's a scorcher here today (29oc)!

I'm back ... First Communion Tilda

Hello!

I'm back after a lovely 10 day break back in Ottawa!  The boys had April Break from school so we headed back to Canada to visit friends.  My eldest son actually took his first solo flight to Vancouver and visited with friends on Vancouver Island - a very successful visit!

So, we're back and and enjoying the beautiful signs of Spring that are surrounding us; birds chirping, trees budding, flowers blooming, warm sunshine ... just love this time of year!

I was commissioned to make a First Communion card so put in a special order to add this gorgeous little Special Day Tilda to my collection!  I love her!  I coloured her using my copic markers and used the light C grays to add shadows on her dress and veil.  The sentiment is computer generated and I blinged the rest of the card up with pearls & gems, doily & flower.  I drew in the little wooden cross.

A couple of challenges for this card:-

Papertake Weekly - Take your Pick (Colour Theme - White plus one)
Craft your Passion challenges - Always Anything Goes
Crafty Girlz Challenges - Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl - April Magnolia Only Challenge (Children)
Allsorts Challenge - Bring on the Bling

Thanks for stopping in today - it's good to be back and I look forward to catching up on everyone's blogs!

Be Strong ....

Hello!

Thanks for stopping in today.  I have this card which I was asked to make for a friend of mine.  She has a friend who is coping with the return of her cancer.  She wanted a card to reflect her strong faith and to encourage her in her ongoing battle with the Big C.

I found this beautiful verse which pretty much sums it all up.  I have to admit to making this card with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat - it was very emotional, as I do know the lady concerned too.  The sentiment was computer generated and then inked gently with a sponge.

I used a muted calming colour palette, the papers from MME Lost & Found.  I added a MS punched border, bird and leaf.  The addition of the twine finishes it off.

Here is the finished inside of the card too.  Same bird punch but the silhouette version (I love these punches by MS).  The sentiment inside is from SU!.

I am going to enter these cards into the following challenges:-

Papertake Weekly - Words, words, words
Craft Your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Add a Sentiment

That's all for today folks.  Thanks for stopping in.  I'm off to take Jasper to get a trim and his nails clipped before our road trip on Thursday!  Have a wonderful Tuesday and until next time ... happy crafting!

I'll be signing up for classes for sure!

I am so thrilled with the end result of this image.  I have made a 5.5x5.5" card, which I haven't done in ages!  Papers are from American Crafts "Welcome Spring" pad - such pretty papers!  I used an MS punch and the sentiment is from Fiskars.

Hello!

I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Easter weekend and are coming out of a chocolate coma!!  LOL

I have this sweet All Dressed Up image for you today - isn't he just the cutest!!  It was a freebie a while back and have been meaning to print it out and colour him up for ages ... so I finally did!  I used copics and a new (to me) technique to add texture.  I used X's, starting with the darkest colour and going lighter to add my shadows etc.  A sweep of the lighter colour to blend it slightly, then I dabbed a piece of cheesecloth with some 0 Blending solution and pressed it very lightly over the image for some added texture.  I am really pleased with the finished result - what do you think?

The rest of the card is a fairly simple layout using up paper scraps from my scrap bin - need to work through a big pile!!  The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
All Dressed Up Challenge - Always Anything Goes (Must use ADU image)
Cute Card Thursday - Buttons & Bows
Crafting for all Seasons - Animal Magic

Once again, thanks for taking the time to stop by and see me.  Have a wonderful crafty day ... until next time!

Let it Snow ... but please don't!!!

Hi there!

Happy Easter folks ... and to celebrate I have a Christmas snowy card!!  Hahaha!!  I really don't want it to snow but that's the theme over on the Winter Wonderland challenge for this week.  I want to keep adding to my Christmas card stash so I figured whilst hubby had taken the boys to go and see a movie, I sat down and coloured in this sweet Rachelle Anne Miller image that hasn't seen ink in quite a while.

She is coloured with copics and all the papers are from my scrap stash!  I used tiny little pearls around the image to highlight the snowflakes and I added red & silver sequins to add a bit of sparkle. The sentiment is The Stamp Barn (retired).

The challenges I'm entering this card in for:-

Winter Wonderland - Let it Snow
Sketch Saturday - Sketch layout #355
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes

As I type this I can smell the delicious lamb roasting away for our Easter dinner!

Thanks for stopping in!  I always appreciate your visits and love it when you're able to leave a comment and let me know what you think!  Until next time ... happy crafting!!

Project K-Cup!

Hi there!

As promised, I am here today sharing some projects I am currently working on.  I have been asked to make 7 of these K-Cup holders as teacher thank-you gifts.  Yes, I'm way ahead of time but they're for a friend in Ottawa and as I'm heading back up there in a couple of weeks, I wanted to be organised and have them ready to take with me, rather than paying a fortune in postage to get them up there!

I am loving making these ... they are really easy to put together and are super fun to decorate!  I found the tutorial here for the template.  The above is a compilation of the 3 caddies I have made so far.  I have added a homemade envelope (using the SU! envelope punch board) which I have adhered to the back panel for the addition of a gift card (Starbucks would be my preference every time)!!!

I have used a variety of sentiments; Verve, Fiskars & SU!  Ribbons, twine, punches & other embellishments are all from my stash.

I hope you like this project.  You could also modify this for kinder eggs to sit in the holder instead of k-cups for an Easter twist!  Another is to take two caddies and adhere them back to back so you have a holder with 4 K-cups instead of 2!

Some challenges I will enter:-

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Add a Sentiment
Craft your Passion Challenge - Always Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping in ... I am always thrilled to see you here and hold much gratitude for when you take the time to leave me a comment!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Ever thankful for you ...

Happy Friday folks!

Great to see you here and thanks for stopping in and taking a peek at my offering today!  It's a clean & simple card using one of my new Memory Box dies, Chloe Stem.

Very easy simple layout to this card.  Sometimes I just love the simplicity and ease to making these cards.  I guess my styles differ depending on what type of "mood" I'm in when I sit at my craft desk!

I'm busy with an order right now for 7 "K-Cup holders" ... something I will share with you tomorrow!

I hope you're all getting ready for the Easter Bunny to arrive on Sunday - I know my boys are excited for chocolate to be delivered!!!  LOL

Appreciate any comments you leave!

Because Nice Matters ...

Good Morning Folks!

Happy Saturday to you all!  I hope you're enjoying the start to your weekend - I was until I looked out the window and saw SNOW!!!  Nooooo ... hopefully the Spring sunshine will return soon!

Today I have this adorable Makey Bakey Mice image from Crafters Companion.  I give credit to my blogging friend Christine from Dol Creations for getting me hooked onto these adorable mice ... they are beyond cute!

The image is coloured up with copics and I used a new flourish die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs which I recently added to my stash.  The MS border punch came out of hiding and I had to blow some dust off of that one, lol!  The sentiment is SU! - I almost wanted to change it to ... "because Mice matters .. "!!!

Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek at my blog today - always love your visits and appreciate the comments that are left!  Unfortunately I have to make a sympathy card today for a friend who just lost her stepdad, my least favourite card to make.

Some challenges I will enter this card into:-

Allsorts Challenge - Feature a Creature
Craft your Passion Challenges - Always Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Challenge #82 Anything Goes

Enjoy your day whatever you plan on doing ... until next time!

Welcome to the jungle .... baby!

Hello there!

I am so excited to be back today with this super fun card I made.  I was asked to make a baby shower card where the nursery theme is jungle animals.  I knew exactly what stamps I wanted to pull out but it took me a while to find my mojo and get inspired!

Then, it dawned on me ... a side step card is the perfect solution to creating a 'scene card' when needing to incorporate lots of animals!  And so here is the result ... after many hours of colouring, cutting, embossing, punching, glueing and assembling!  I am in love with it!  I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with the end result.  My friend is thrilled too and absolutely loves it!

Stamps are PaperWorksCo (retired), coloured with copics.  Grass is MS border punch, embossing folder and leaves are Spellbinders.  Flowers and pearls are from my stash.  Sentiment is SU!

I'm entering this card into:-

Papertake Weekly - A Cut Above (die cuts, punches, cutting etc.)

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoy viewing my card/make as much as I enjoyed making it!  Appreciate all your comments - thank you!  Enjoy your Wednesday!

You are my Sunshine!

Hello everyone!

I am making lots of spring-themed cards in the desperate hope of urging Spring along it's way ... it is still way too cold here for my liking!!

This Tilda is super cute and I loved colouring her up with my copic markers.  I've been really enjoying colouring black hair recently too!  The papers are a 6x6 pad Garden Party by Pebbles.  I love the fresh colours and the plaid is definitely a favourite!  Ribbon, flowers and bling are all from my stash.  The border punch is MS.  The sentiment square is from the paper pad.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:-

Papertake Weekly - A Cut Above (die cuts, punches)
Craft Your Passion - Always Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Spring Fever

That's all for today folks!  I hope you're enjoying your Tuesday, whatever you're doing!  Thanks for stopping in and for leaving any lovely comments - always greatly appreciated!

Hugs, Danielle x
