Whiff of Joy Baby Card - Friday Sketchers

Hi there!
What a beautiful day we've had here for Canada Day - they were forecasting thunder showers but the rain has stayed away! I've managed a bit of stamping time today and got this baby card done that I've been asked to do. I was excited to ink up my new WOJ 'Women's Delight' image and she is an absolute joy to colour! I kept the colour tones to brown and pink and used the fabulous Friday Sketchers layout. I used my Prisma penciles with OMS to colour her in. I sewed the two main panels to add some interest and used the MS Doily punch and oval nesties. Flowers, spacers and MS branch punch, together with a swirl and pearls add the finishing touches.
We're off to see the Canada Day fireworks tonight with the boys - should be a beautiful evening. We also put the tent up for them in the back yard today so they're excited about their 'camp out' tonight!! We'll also be lighting up the fire and toasting marshmallows, mmmm!!
Thanks for stopping by today and taking the time to comment! I love reading them and they are always so much appreciated! Have a great evening all!

Pink Giraffe Parade - A Baby Card!

Hi all!
Well, it's already Sunday evening and I can't believe the weekend has come to an end already! I'm a little sad as I haven't managed to do any challenges yet but I really needed to fufill a baby card order.  So I dug out this cute giraffe stamp from Inkadinkado, stamped, coloured and cut it out 3 times and put the card together!  I used a little piece of pink ribbon for the tail and added diamond stickles to the giraffe's spots.  I so love working with pink - it's the only opportunity I get to work with this colour in my house, lol!!
I'm going to try and get back downstairs and craft a bit more before Desperate Housewives start (yes, I'm a fan!!).  I hope you've all enjoyed a fabulous weekend and will see you around in blogland sometime this week!
Take care!
Hugs,
Danielle x

Special Baby Delivery!

Hi there!
Happy Saturday everyone! It's so nice to be enjoying the weekend again and last night I had the chance to put together the Friday Sketchers challenge with a baby boy card I have been asked to make. It was a great sketch layout from Bea and I really love the fact I was able to accomplish not only the sketch but also the card order I needed to do, lol!
The papers are from a baby stash I had (can't recall the company, sorry). I used a cuttlebug tag die set to make the tag which I stamped the sentiment on. I used the Martha Stewart doiley punch on some white cardstock to add detail to the bottom of the panel. I stamped the main image (Inkadinkado) on white cardstock which I die cut with my oval nestabilities. I stamped the image again, coloured and cut it out and popped it up using dimensionals. I used my tombow markers to colour in the image. I finally took a leap of courage and bought my first Copics *hooray* but I'm still playing around with them and am no way ready to post anything yet coloured with them!!! I used a wide white grosgrain ribbon with a narrower blue to run through the tag and sit on the top. I tied some narrow white ribbon through three buttons and glued them to some pale blue flowers. My final touch was 3 small pearls above the sentiment which filled in the space nicely. I hope you like the finished card.
Thanks for stopping by today. I had hoped to stamp this afternoon but I got invited out for a cup of tea and girlie chat instead and have to say that was a very enjoyable alternative! Tomorrow is always another day, right?!
Hugs, as always,
Danielle x
