JustRite Christmas Selection

I have been waiting for the correct size circle stamper to arrive so I could purchase this set - and it arrived! Yippee!! I can see myself having a load of fun with this set - this is just the beginning! I stamped the holly & berries border then used my H20's to colour the images. I applied red stickles over the berries to add some sparkle. I then used my circle nestabilities to creat a wreath effect then stamped the sentiment on a co-ordinating colour cardstock and circle punched it out. I used the holly cuttlebug embossing folder for the matt behind. I popped up the wreath with dimensionals and tied my gold ribbon into a bow to create the finished look. I wished I had run around the border on the green cardstock with my sewing machine to add some simple detail but ah well, that'll have to wait 'til the next card!

I can see myself being sequestered to my craft room for the rest of the weekend with all my new goodies!

Let it Snow!

I'm putting some christmas cards together for my local florist who sells my cards. I went in yesterday and was delighted to find they had sold all my cards and want 20 more - yay!!! So this is one of the christmas cards I've made to add in the bunch. I was really happy with the way it turned out. I can't seem to get enough of snowflakes this year even tho' it won't be long before the real ones start arriving! I'm not so sure how much into snowflakes I'll be then ....!!

This is an old stamp which I pulled off the shelf, blew the dust off and inked it up! This was a quick card to put together - lots of layers make this stamp work well. I used plenty to stickles to sparkle it up. Waiting for it to dry was the longest part of putting this card together but worth the wait I think!

Joy to the World - Manger Scene

So this is my other Stampendous stamp purchase made yesterday. I stamped the image initially on a nestability circle then stamped again the image of the baby infant Jesus in the manger on a circle of watercolor paper. I colored the image with tombow markers, highlighted the stars with a clear sakura pen to give some sparkle and adhered the image to some background scrapbook paper. I got my sewing machine out again and trimmed the edge with stitching and threaded silver stars on gilt thread to finish the look. It's a very simple card but I like it! Hope you do too.

Scroll Reindeer

Well, like I don't need any more stamps BUT I couldn't resist two gorgeous Stampendous stamps today when I was in my local craft store. I just loved the scroll sketching on the deer and the antlers are just so beautiful. So, I added 2 new christmas stamps to my collection and of course just had to play! My afternoon was free with all my boys off at school and play I certainly did! I did today's Sketch Challenge SC199 from Splitcoast Stampers and this is what I came up with. I hadn't had a chance to use my cuttlebug embossing borders so that is what I used for my bottom panel. I then punched out holes and threaded ribbon through to meet and make a bow in the middle. I used lots of stickles on his antlers to enhance the scroll and give it some BLING!! I'm really happy with the way this turned out. What do you think?

Christmas Cards

These cards are made using a set of 4 stamps from Sunshine Designs (The Stamp Barn). I love the circles they are drawn in and it makes for wonderful possibilities when creating cards! I have only had time to make 3 so far but hope to complete the set of 4 very soon! Time is not always easy to find when you have 3 busy boys to look after, a husband and a house full of visitors!!! The O Christmas Tree card was created by measuring a frame, cutting the top two sides and folding it down over to the opposite corner. I then measured and cut scrapbook paper to match the colors of the card and glued them onto the 'turned down' frame. I really like the look it gives - what do you think??! As for the rest, lots of embossing with the cuttlebug folders added to the textures of the finished card. I want to play around with these stamps some more so be sure to keep looking back!

Stair Step Card

This was yesterdays 'Try a New Technique' challenge TLC190 on Splitcoast Stampers. I loved it and thought I'd give it a go. This snowflake card was done really quickly and is just my 'trial' one. I hope to get back to my crafting table later today and do another one. It's certainly quick and easy and can be made to be as simple or embellished as you wish. Explosion Card

Well, I was given this fabulous template and just had to try it! Also, I've admired many beautiful sewn cards from afar and just haven't had the courage to take out my sewing machine and give it a try. SO - I did both!!! And now I'm completely and utterly addicted to sewing on my cards - it is truly soooo much fun and the finished result is just fab. Why didn't I try this before??? Anyway, I hope you like this explosion card. I used the cute little Tilda on the front and used my SU! Priceless set to complete the look inside. Paper flowers finish off the inside (don't you love them!!!). Thanks for looking and have yourself a fabulous Monday!

Gel Cards

These gel cards are soooo fun to do!! I love how they are so effective and my Fintastic Friends stamps from the SU! set (now retired) was the perfect one to use for this card. Be sure to check out the tutorial and try one yourself!

Fantasy Film

These are my card creations using Fantasy Film. A versatile embellishment, it can heated ('til it crinkles) and then stamped on, cut out and used for wings, or you can iron and bond several layers together on top of an inked stamp (as with the angel fish below). Fabulous Flower Soft

I am having so much fun playing with Flower Soft at the moment! The gorgeous Victorian flower stamped image from Impression Obsession lends itself so well to applying this wonderful embellishment. Very easy to apply, Flower Soft enhances any flower image you choose to stamp on your card. Other images here are from Sunshine Designs.
