My son, Josh, was quite taken with all the comments he received from you guys on his first card posting that he's decided he wants a regular 'spot' on my blog! So, we've decided on a 'Sunday Spotlight' when he has a card done and ready to post.
So with that said, he made this christmas Edwin card last weekend. I introduced him to masking and we masked Edwin onto this santa sack. He was quite taken with the masking technique and loved the end result. He coloured with Derwent watercolour pencils. The paper is from Daisy D's and the glitter snowflake is from stash. He stamped the Magnolia sentiment in red ink and cut around it.
Josh has decided this card will be for his teacher (I love that - one less card for me to make, lol!!).
Thanks for stopping by today and taking the time to look at my son's work. His smile got bigger each time he read the comments last time so thank you for that - it truly was so special to see him beaming! Hope you all have a great Sunday!
Hugs,
Danielle x

Josh you did a wonderful job. I don't even know how to mask and I've been stamping a long time. Keep up the good work:) My daughter is eleven and has her own challenge blog thought you might want to enter. She is like you and loves comments. Her blog is www.alyssundaychallenge.blogspot.com
Josh you did a great job! Awesome card! Your masking and coloring is absolutely perfect!
Great job Josh! Lots of long time stampers don't know, or don't bother with masking. I think it's a neat technique and can be lots of fun! Your teacher is going to be very impressed once they figure out that you actually made the card yourself! Will look forward to your next creation.

Wow Josh, what a lovely card. You've done a beautiful job of coloring Edwin and also with your masking. You will have one very fortunate teacher and I'm sure a very happy one. Keep up the good work.
God Bless!
oh my goodness....it looks like his Mum's talent has rubbed off on Josh! Wow! Pretty soon his "feature" post won't be enough and we will be seeing Josh's own paper-crafting blog!
This is truly a lovely card!
So....my dearly beloved thinks you should call Josh's posts "Son"day Spotlights!
OK, if he keeps producing these beautiful cards, he's going to need his own blog! I just can't tell you how impressed I am with you Josh! Masking is an art, and you've got it down buddy! Like everyone else has said, your teacher is going to be amazed that you did this just for her/him. Awesome job little guy! I'm blown away! Best, Curt
