I hope you're all well. I have a healthy household once again - thanks for all your good wishes! Firstly, I have to share with you my first earthquake experience yesterday here in Ottawa! Wow - at about 1.40pm I was out in the garden with a friend and the earth literally started to shake under our feet - what a weird feeling that was! It was later reported that Quebec/Ontario experienced a 5.0 magnitude tremor which was felt as far away as Boston, NY and even Ohio!! Thankfully very or no little damage was reported but definitely one of those 'I will never forget what I was doing when ....' moments! :)
Anyways, true to my eternal procrastinating personality, here I am at the last minute scrambling to put together some simple teacher gifts. They are simple but I'm hoping that they will be well received and used - don't all teachers need copious amounts of note pads??? LOL I initally found the idea over at Nichole Heady's blog here but I customised it myself to fit the notepads I had bought. I used my Cricut to cut out the NOTES letters - loving my Cricut!!!
Here is a shot of the finished inside 'pocket'.
And, as promised, here's a picture of my beautiful boy Josh, who graduated Gr.6 yesterday. We enjoyed a wonderful ceremony and celebration and I even managed to hold back my tears (just)!!!
Well, thanks for stopping by today. I will try and take advantage of the last day before school finishes for the summer and see if I can get a little crafting done. I'm excited to have them home but having all 3 together 24/7 certainly has its moments!! Hope you all enjoy a wonderful day and thank you so much for all the beautiful comments you leave - they are so very much appreciated!
Hugs,
Danielle x

Danielle these are lovely pressies to give to the teachers, and even more special because you have made them.
Wow, cannot image what the earth tremor must have felt like. Would have been rather scared.
And such a lovely pic of your son. It must have been hard to hold those tears back, think I have embarrassed all my children by crying at their school leavers assemblies.
