Birthday Wishes ...

Hello!

I hope you're all keeping well!  The temperature has warmed up a little here so I've managed to have some fabulous outdoor time with my little guy ... tobogganing for over an hour ... soooo much fun!!

And I've also managed to squeeze in some crafty time.  My goddaughter turns 21 next week and so a special birthday card had to be put together.  This is the first time I'm colouring up this sweet Princess Tilda image and I have to say it was very fun to do!  I pulled papers from the gorgeous BG Capella pad and worked with the aqua/brown colour combo which I just love.

I used my copics to colour and finished off the card using these super sweet tiny roses from WOCrafts.  I used ivory tulle instead of ribbon and the sentiment is SU!.  I used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers so will enter my card in over there.  And at Just Magnolia they're 'Going Dotty' this week so I will submit this card there too.

Must get this card off in the mail ... I think it's going to be a couple of days late so I hope she will forgive me!  Thanks for coming by for a visit and the comments you leave ... I appreciate them all!  Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Wool Ewe be Mine ...??

Hello everyone!

I have my PaperWorksCo DT card for today ... it's the last day of the January papercardkit for this month.  This adorable RAM image was from the new VDay release ... isn't it cute!!!  I knew when I saw this image that I wanted to pull out my ivory flower soft and create lots of texture and a curly 'do' for this sheep!  The rest of the image is coloured with copics and I punched out some grass using the MS punch and added it and cut it to fit into the nestie shape.  The sentiment comes with the stamp ... isn't it sweet!  Perfect for the valentine cards that need to be made!

I've followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week so I will enter my card in over there.  The papers and ribbon are all included in the Papercardkit which is available until the end of the month ... Peggy really does a fantastic job of packing these kits and they are such great value for money!

Here's a close-up of the image showing the ivory flower soft - I love how this stuff adds so much wonderful texture and interest!

Thanks for coming by today and stopping in for a peek ... and many thanks if you've found the time to leave a comment too!  I always appreciate knowing you've come for a visit!  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and are staying warm, well and safe!

A sweet Hanglar ...

Hello again!

Go me - another posting today ... I'm on a roll!  This cold weather has some benefits I guess!!  LOL

I decided to ink up this Hanglar beauty as it has sat uninked on my desk since my brother gifted it to me for my birthday back in November.  I've used copics to colour and I've gone with the colour combo of blue/brown which fits the challenge this week over at Stamp with Fun.  I've also followed Donalda's sketch at Just Magnolia (which also now includes Hanglar/Stanglar images) so I will enter my card in there too.  And lastly, Totally Papercrafts is asking for you to 'Add a Heart' for this weeks challenge so my card qualifies there too!

The blue paper is from BG Marrakesh pad and the brown is from a freebie 12x12 pad from Colorbok which arrived on my doorstep this past week.  I distressed the edges and did some more sewing.    The sentiment ticket is Tim Holtz and the wooden hearts are inked with distress ink and were from the Dollar Store!

I hope you like my card today.  Thanks for stopping by for another visit - I always appreciate you coming by and leaving a comment.  I think it's warming up somewhat tomorrow (to -7oc) but it comes with the arrival of more snow, puh!  Maybe that'll mean another crafty day!

Take care my friends,

Just sitting here ....

Hi there!

Woohoo - I've managed to do a challenge card!!  We have had incredibly cold temperatures today (-39oc with wind chill) and therefore I vowed to not step out of the door!  So what more perfect way to spend the day than to craft!

I was browsing some sketch challenge blogs and really liked this weeks sketch over at The Sweet Stop.  I thought I would play along and decided to colour up a Tilda image ... something I haven't done in quite a while!  I coloured with my copics and used Magnolia papers.  Even my sewing machine got a dusting off and I added some stitching to the card.

The sentiment is also from Magnolia which I distressed around the edges and inked with distress inks.  The mini roses and cream aster are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow and bling from my stash.  I used an MS border punch for the middle strip.

This blue is not often a colour I work with but am really happy with the way this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today and hopefully my time will allow me to craft a little more this week!  I appreciate all the comments you leave ... I hope I can sneak some blog hopping time in too so I can return them!!

You are my Tweetheart!

Hi there!

A card ... at last!!!  I'm here today with my PaperWorksCo card.  I'm lucky enough to be showing off the January papercardkit this month and Peggy has put together a fabulous selection of these delicious modern and whimsical papers from Bo Bunny.

I decided to use a RAM image from the new VDay release and I die cut the focal 'lovebirds' from the image with my heart nesties.  I coloured with copics and kept it simple using browns & pinks to match the theme of the card and papers.  The background I created by cutting 1.5" squares and covered them with  Dimensional Magic (3D liquid lacquer).  When dry they look like tiles and create a very cool effect.  The rest of the card is a pretty simple assembly but everything is from the papercardkit.

Well, I hope you like it and if you haven't popped over to PWCO to check out RAM's new release, you really should .... the new VDay images are stunning!

Thanks for stopping by today - I always appreciate your visits and hopefully I'll find some time a little later to blog hop and check out all your latest creations!

Take care - hugs,
Danielle x

I'm back ... and a bit of an update!

Hi there!

Well, I'm back from a wonderful trip to Florida!  We all had a marvellous time but unfortunately we had the road trip from hell coming home!  We ended up driving through the winter storm that had hit the east coast of the US and had to drive through freezing rain, ice & snow ... starting in the Carolinas!  It was 2 1/2 days of nightmare driving but thankfully our guardian angels kept us safe.

There are quite a few changes going on in my life right now and I've decided to take a temporary break from my DT duties with Winter Wonderland.  I hope to be back there just after the Spring when hopefully things will have settled down a bit and I don't feel so overwhelmed.

I will carry on with my DT position with PaperWorksCo and will post as and when I can here on my blog.  I hope I can manage some regular postings as I really do love blogging and all you wonderful crafty people!

That's my update for now ... thanks for stopping in and I hope I can have a card for you in the next day or two once all my vacation laundry is done, xmas tree is down and the house is cleaned up!  Phew, feel exhausted just writing the to-do list, haha!!

Hugs,
Danielle x
