Ballerina Tilda ... and Jasper in the snowstorm!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for stopping in today! Well, I have just experienced my first nor'easter here in Massachusetts with Winter Snowstorm Juno 2015.  And what a doozie she was ... dumped 36" of snow!!  That is equivalent to 90cm or 3ft!!!  Everything has been shut down and the boys are enjoying their second snow day of the week!  I've been enjoying the warmth and my crafting table!  LOL

I have this lovely Tilda Ballerina card to share with you.  I've had her coloured up for ages and have finally gotten around to putting her on a card.  She is coloured with copics and the paper I have used is from Pebbles.  I followed a pretty straight forward layout and used a lovely SU! punch for the strip down the side.  I added a simple flower, couple of pearls and used a tiny tag punch for some embellishment details.

I have added this card to the following challenges:-

Papertake Weekly - Take your Pick challenge (Colour theme)
Craft your Passion - Always Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Only one Designer Paper
Cute Card Thursday - Colourful!

Thank you all for swinging by my blog today.  I hope you're all staying warm & safe wherever you are!  I've included a sweet picture of my puppy Jasper at the end of the blog post enjoying the snow!

Take care!

Up, up & away ... in my beautiful balloon!

Hello!

Thanks for stopping in today.  I have made this masculine card for my hubby's birthday which is coming up at the end of the month.  Look at me, a whole week to go and I have his card ready - that has to be a first, lol!!!

Anyway, this is a new stamp set which I found in the discount bin in AC Moore yesterday for $2.99!!  It's a set byTCP Studio and I love it, especially for these ever-so-hard male cards!!  The paper was a  super little pack for $1 by Studio G.  The cloud background is another newbie to my collection, a Darice embossing folder.

I paper-pieced the balloons for extra detail and colour.  The sentiment is part of the set too.  I finished the card off with a twist of twine.

I am entering this card into Craft Your Passion Challenge where it is always Anything Goes!  Also, Crafty Calendar Challenge where the theme is Something New (paper/stamps).

Great to see you here and I hope you're able to take a minute and leave me a comment - I love to hear your feedback!

See you again soon!  :)

Hugs,

Smiles are Contagious!

Hello!

Happy Sunday peeps - I hope you've been enjoying a lovely weekend!  Ours continues on as we have tomorrow off which I'm very happy about!

Today, I have this delightful Tilda for you.  She has been coloured with copics and I went with some gorgeous flowery paper from K&Co.  The sentiment is from my stash as are the rest of the embellishments.

The Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia challenge this week is Spots or Stripes so I have entered my card in here.

Thanks for taking the time to stop in and please leave a comment if you're able to!  Have a wonderful start to the new week!

Jingle all the way ...

Hello again!

So glad it's Friday and the beginning of a 3 day weekend - yippee!  I saw that the Winter Wonderland challenge on their blog today was "show us your metal" so I have this lovely Jingle Tilda card.  I loved using real bells as embellishments and a vintage style metal filigree corner.

Tilda is coloured with copics and the paper is Graphic 45.  This has to be one of my favourite winter/christmas Tilda images - she's just so cute!

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you are able to leave a message and say hi!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

New year with some new beginnings ... and meet Jasper!

Hi everyone!

Wow - what a crazy year 2014 was!  So many things happened, a pretty significant one being we moved from Canada to the USA!  We are currently residing in the town of Tewksbury, north of Boston, Massachusetts!  It has been a big move which has taken some time for us all to settle into.  My eldest son has found it the hardest but we are all adjusting.  One of the hardest things for me is I now don't have my craft room :(  I have been relegated down to a mere crafting desk BUT I am grateful for at least having a permanent design space!  We moved from a big house to a 3 bed apartment (the move is supposed to be a temporary 2 year thing)!  So, we all have had to make sacrifices and my crafting space has been mine!

We have also introduced a beautiful puppy into our lives!  Jasper is a delightful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he brings us so much love & joy but keeps me extremely busy!  My days are spent with him as I am unable to work here in the US.

I am making a commitment in 2015 to do more crafting and promoting of my work.  I have started a Facebook page  so please feel free to pop over and "like" it and friend me too if you feel so inclined!!!!  :)

So, without further ado, here is a birthday card that I have made using the beautiful LOTV image and coloured with distress inks.  Pretty simple design and lovely papers from MME Hootenanny pad.  The sentiment stamp is Verve.

Please note I have changed my blog name to Delightful Designs by Danielle.

Thank you all for visiting me today - I truly appreciate it.  I am off to now do some major blog post catch ups with all my favourite bloggers!

Now that I am back keep an eye out, I may just be posting some fun candy as a welcome back!!

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Danielle xx
