Birthday Wishes ...

Hello!

I hope you're all keeping well!  The temperature has warmed up a little here so I've managed to have some fabulous outdoor time with my little guy ... tobogganing for over an hour ... soooo much fun!!

And I've also managed to squeeze in some crafty time.  My goddaughter turns 21 next week and so a special birthday card had to be put together.  This is the first time I'm colouring up this sweet Princess Tilda image and I have to say it was very fun to do!  I pulled papers from the gorgeous BG Capella pad and worked with the aqua/brown colour combo which I just love.

I used my copics to colour and finished off the card using these super sweet tiny roses from WOCrafts.  I used ivory tulle instead of ribbon and the sentiment is SU!.  I used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers so will enter my card in over there.  And at Just Magnolia they're 'Going Dotty' this week so I will submit this card there too.

Must get this card off in the mail ... I think it's going to be a couple of days late so I hope she will forgive me!  Thanks for coming by for a visit and the comments you leave ... I appreciate them all!  Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Hugs,

A Hanglar card!

Good morning friends!

I hope you are all well on this Monday morning.  I had a quiet relaxing weekend and got to craft lots with my mom!  The dreary weather is definitely setting in now and there's nothing better than sitting and crafting to your hearts content while it rains outside!

My dear brother gave me two Hanglar stamps for my upcoming birthday and this is one of them!  I'm so excited to actually own some of this rubber!  I coloured the image up with my copics and die cut it out using a Nellie Snellen die.  I've followed this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts with some added stickles and I used a fab TH ticket.  I also used a new EK Success fern punch which I found at Heather's Stamping the other day.  The pearl pin is from my stash and so is my dp.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'm having another relaxing day today and hope to get some more crafting done!  I might actually get some time to blog hop and catch up on some commenting too!  I appreciate you visiting and can't thank you enough for all the beautiful comments you leave!  Hope you all enjoy a safe and lovely day!

Tilda in the Garden

Hi there!

I hope you are all keeping well.  Unfortunately I have my middle son, Joel, home sick with a fever and vomiting and I've woken up with a sore throat.  And, it's Josh's Gr.6 Graduation this afternoon - geez, I hope we all start feeling better quickly!!

I managed to make this card on Friday when I had Jacob home sick with what Joel now has!  He slept all day so I was able to take advantage of some crafting time!

I love this sweet Tilda with her bike from last years summer collection.  I coloured Tilda with my distress inks and I've paired her up with the beautiful Magnolia tree which is coloured using copics.  I have used MME 'Pretty Please' papers.  I've used the MS picket fence punch to create the feel of a garden and finished off with bling around the Magnolia tree.

I will enter this card into the following challenges:-

Just Magnolia - In the Garden
Friday Sketchers - Sketch by Carole

Thanks for your visit today - I hope I will get some time to blog hop a little later and catch up with everyones creations.  I will have some photos to share with you tomorrow of Josh's Graduation!  Have a wonderful day!

New C.C. Designs Spring Kit

Hello!
My new C.C. Designs Spring kit arrived in the mail this week and I finally got a chance to sit down, colour and put a card together!  Isn't she such a sweetie!
I coloured using my copics and I've used my new BG Kioshi papers - they are lovely!  I've followed Claudia's sketch this week over at Friday Sketchers.   I will also add this into Charisma Cardz challenge which is 'Girly & Flowers.  Not really sure I'm entirely happy with the end result but the way my mojo has been lately, I'll take it, lol!!!
My boys started softball practice this weekend so we've had a day full of batting, pitching & catching!  It's been a lot of fun to see them jump back into it and even my youngest, Jacob (4) has been walking around the house all day with his new T-Ball glove on and ball in hand - too cute!!  My schedule is now becoming a little crazy over the coming weeks trying to get all 3 to practices & games so goodness knows when I'll find the time to craft - I might just have to become a midnight stamper ..... ;)
Well, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.  And don't forget my candy - when I'm over 50 I might just add in some more surprises!!

A Spring Tilda!

Good Morning all!
Thanks for all your well wishes - I'm feeling much better and got a chance to craft yesterday after all!
I have this new sweet Spring Tilda to show you today.  I received this beautiful image from my sweet friend, Linda, thanks so much!!  She is coloured with my copics and trimmed out.  I made Tilda a red-head for the first time - do you like her with auburn hair?  I'm quite pleased with it!  The paper is from the gorgeous new BG Green At Heart pad and I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers this week.  The cherry blossom flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and edged with lots of lovely sparkly Stickles!  I punched out branches using the MS punch and machine stitched around the edges of the card and panels.  The ribbon is from stash and I added a sweet butterfly embellishment that I picked up in the Dollar Store - adds more of a 'spring' touch to the card don't you think?!  I used Flower Soft for the flowers in Tilda's basket.
I spritzed the card with Tattered Angels Pearl mist so apologies for how the camera has picked it up in the photo!  All the panels are distressed with my Tim Hotlz distressing tool.

I've managed to get this card into quite a few challenges:
Friday Sketchers - Sketch by Beatrix
Quixotic Challenges - Joys of Spring
Totally Papercrafts - Distressing
Stamp Something - Stitch Something
The Stamp Shoppe - Pastels/Spring
Just Magnolia - Punch it Out!
Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you all have a wonderful start to the week!  I appreciate all the comments you leave - they bring a ray of sunshine to my day!

Easter Bunny Tilda!

Hello!
It was a miserable day yesterday (rain, rain & rain - but better than snow!!) so I managed to sneak into my craft room in the morning and put together this sweet Easter Bunny Tilda card.  The image is one I received in a RAK, not sure who from but I'm thinking it was Linda - thanks my friend!
I coloured with my copics, cut her out and placed her on one of my new nesties Label 10 dies.  I've followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers which is by the fabulous Jeanette.  Totally Papercrafts has the challenge this week of 'Pink & Green' and also at Magnolia Down Under they want to see 'Stitching' on your cards.
The paper is from Bo Bunny, ribbon is from stash as are the Prima flowers, spacers & pearls.  I used the MS branch punch around the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today!  I appreciate you calling into my blog and leaving a comment.  I hope you're able to get your fingers inky today - I have to say I'm a little green with envy seeing all the new Magnolia rubber people have got their hands on at the NEC this past weekend!!

Magical Monday - Bunny Cupcake!

Welcome to another Magical Monday with Paper Cupcake images. This week Nina has this super cute 'Bunny Cupcake' image as the freebie to play with over at TMITA/PCC. Our DT sistah, Kim, is hosting this weeks challenge:-

Make any "non-traditional" style card (e.g., free standing pop up, joy fold, tri-shutter, etc)
Splitcoast Stampers is a good place to see different styles
This week over on Friday Sketchers they have a gorgeous sketch and I was inspired by the fabulous Claudia to use a gate-fold card as it fitted the sketch perfectly! So I will also enter this card into their challenge this week too!
I decided to go with spring colours as bunnies always remind me of Spring/Easter. I coloured the bunny with my copics, cut it out and added whatever they are called for the whiskers (I have no idea what one would call these!!). If you happen to know, please feel free to add it to your comment, LOL! Papers are from GCD Designs 'No Worries' collection. I mounted the image on a nesties label. I sewed around the edges and sewed in the lace at the same time. Flowers are made using the retro flower punch (medium & small sizes) with an adhesvie pearl in the middle. Lastly, a pink silk bow made with my bow-easy adds a touch of elegance to the bunny!
Here's how I finished off the inside. I pulled out my MS bunny border punch - isn't it cute!!

I hope you're able to join in with this weeks challenge over at TMITA/PCC. This image is so versatile - great for Easter, birthday and Spring cards! Thanks for visiting today and as always, comments are so very much appreciated and cherished!

Wishing you all a wonderful week! My boys are on March Break so I don't know how much blogging/crafting I'll get done. If I get into my craft room then I'll consider myself lucky!!

Hugs,

Winter Wonderland - Monochromatic Challenge

Hi everyone!
I hope this Sunday finds you all well. What an unproductive week (creatively and otherwise) for me due to illness! Thank you all for your wonderful get well wishes and your patience in my lack of blogging! I did get myself to the doctor and a sinus infection and strep throat was confirmed so I now have the antibiotics to kick those bad germs out and get me on the road to full health!
I finally managed to get into my craft room to produce my DT card for this weeks challenge over at Winter Wonderland. Monochromatic is the theme there this week. I used this sweet image of Tilda which I coloured with my copics. DP is Bo Bunny. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers this week by Carole which I absolutely love. I pulled out this gorgeous lace which I recently picked up from the Dollar Store. The hardware is from a set by WR Memory Keepers. Snowflakes are punched with the MS punch.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I really appreciate your visit and any comments you leave. I hope I will be able to get back into some more serious crafting and blogging this week - I've missed you all for sure! Be sure to pop over to the Winter Wonderland blog and check out all my other DT's gorgeous creations and join in this weeks challenge to win some gorgeous SU! stamp sets!
Hugs,
Danielle

My first C.C. Designs card!

Hi everyone!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit today. My mojo and desire to craft has been severely depleted these last few days. I've had the kids home sick - yep - all 3 of them! And hubby and myself seem to be battling a cold. However, today my head has felt a little clearer so I took myself down to my craft room and was determined to colour up these gorgeous little cuties that I received from my dearest blogging friend, Christine. Thanks hun, you really are so generous!
I pulled out my prisma pencils for this image although I coloured her face and any visible skin with my copics. I love this aqua/violet colour combo - it feels so fresh and uplifting - not like the -23oc temps we've experienced today!! I followed the sketch by Aud over at Friday Sketchers today - I love it! I'm also putting this card in for the Totally Papercrafts challenge this week which is 'Buttons & Bows'.
The dp is from my stash and I used the MS Daisy border punch. I added some violet adhesive pearls and adhered a ribbon and violet button with linen thread for the final touch. The back piece of cardstock is embossed and was gifted to me so not sure which line/company it comes from. I want to say CTMH but I'm not sure!
Well, there you have it! I have projects that I need to complete so I best kept trudging on forward and hope my mojo wakes up! Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your much appreciated comments! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful start to the weekend!

Tilda with Hearts - 4 challenges!

Hi!
I hope this Wednesday finds you all well! I've been a little lacking in my mojo these past few days but I made myself go down to my craft room today and this is what I came up with!
With this one card I've managed to get 4 challenges checked off! Magnolia Down Under is asking for a colour combo of 'Pink & Grey, the sketch is from Friday Sketchers and Cute Card Thursday are looking for 'Spots & Dots'. I can also add this into the Totally Papercrafts challenge where there is a recipe to follow of 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image.
This is a relatively new Tilda in my collection which I purchased from the lovely Heidi at The Stamp Shoppe. I coloured her with Distress Inks and cut her out. The papers are from K&Co Itsy Bitsy. I embossed the nestie circle, used the MS heart punch and added embellishments from stash. The sentiment is from EK Success.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. And your comments are always greatly appreciated! I hope you enjoyed my post today and could find some inspiration from my card! I hope you all enjoy a beautiful day - it's a balmy -4oc here today with sunshine!!
Hugs,

My Friend - One card three challenges!

Hi everyone!

I finally got a chance to play in my craft room this morning! Yesterday the kids had a PD Day from school and whilst it was freezing outside (-31oc in the wind chill) we kept busy together inside. It's not that much warmer today either but I have to say it's wonderful to see the sun shining!

So I pulled out some PB stamps today and decided to use this cute image for the first challenge over at Totally Papercrafts - Friends. I followed Jeanette's fabulous sketch over at Friday Sketchers and used flowery papers and a prima flower which can be entered in for Cute Card Thursday's challenge - Blooming Gorgeous.

I coloured this sweet image in with my Distress Inks and sponged a little Broken China onto the background to create some sky. I used the MS Doily border punch and my oval nesties for the sentiment. The sentiment stamp is from The Stamp Barn. I think the paper is Daisy D's but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, there it is. It's my hubby's 40th birthday today we're just chilling out at home (too cold to go out, lol). He's a quiet, homey kinda guy so doesn't want a big deal so we're having a nice home-cooked meal in together tonight as a family.

Thanks for stopping by today and taking the time to view my work. I love your visits and really appreciate all the comments you leave. I hope you're enjoying a fabulous weekend!

Miss Anya meets Friday Sketchers

Good morning!
I hope you are all well - after a rainy +8oc day yesterday we now have fluffy snow falling down! What a mix of weather January is turning out to be! A quick post today as I have some commissions that I need to get on with!
I was asked to make this sweet Anya card for a birthday. This fabulous dp was a gift from my sweet friend Lori - thanks sweetie *waving at you*!! I coloured Anya with my Distress Inks and have to say I'm quite thrilled with the result! I have to be honest, since doing this detox my head is incredibly clear and I've done some things that have completely amazed me the last few days!! I used the fabulous layout over at Friday Sketchers this week which I thought worked beautifully with this image. Below is a quick peek at how I finished the inside.

Thanks for stopping by today and paying me a visit - I love to see you here. Thanks too for your beautiful comments.

Winter Wonderland Colour Challenge with Friday Sketchers

Hello again!
Yay - I'm back with a posting! I put this together really quickly this morning - it helped already having this sweet Miss Gorjuss girl already coloured up in my stash! How lucky that it was the right colours!!
I used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers by the wonderful Jacque. I loved the easy layout! I embossed the panels and punched the bottom one with an MS border punch. The lovely silk bow was made on my ever-so-brilliant bow-easy! Miss Gorjuss was coloured with copics and she has been set on the deckled nesties rectangles . The colour combo is this weeks challenge over at Winter Wonderland. It's such a pretty colour combo and not normally one I would jump at doing but I will definitely play with it again!
Thanks for stopping by today - I always appreciate your visits and comments that you leave. Thanks for the well wishes too - I'm feeling much better today and I know as the days go on with the detox everything improves!
I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day.

A flower for you .....

Welcome!
So glad you could stop by today and take a peek on my blog! I managed to make a couple of cards with this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers. I used this sweet Hanglar image - isn't she the cutest!
I coloured with copic markers and pulled out colours from the papers. This was my first attempt at this sketch and I don't think I did the angled rectangles very well - but ah well, all part of the learning process right?! I added a cream silk ribbon and bow (using my bow-easy) and added a sweet charm that says 'friend' on it. I did some zig-zag sewing around the edges - don't think that was particularly straight either!! Geez, I'm doing a lot of self-criticism on this card today!
Anyways, I'm off to my craft room to prep for my class on Saturday! Hope you all enjoy a wonderful day whatever you're doing.
Thanks for your visit and for any lovely comments you may leave. Much appreciated as always!

Friday Sketchers - Penguin Love

Happy Friday everyone!
Today, as it's still cold and snowy, I thought I'd go with a winter card! This is a new Motivet stamp that I won on Claudia's blog candy. It is sooo cute and just too much fun to colour! I used my Prima pencils on this image and I have finally figured out that the quality of paper is everything when it comes to the finished result! I used this on some copic paper and the blending of the pencils was beautiful!
So I've used the sketch off Friday Sketchers today which is hosted by the lovely Claudia. It was a fun one for sure. I've kept this card quite simple and just let the papers and image take full focal point. I've used my sewing machine to add some subtle detail and then sparkly snowflakes are my simple embellishments. I added some stickles as snow at the bottom of the penguins. Some organza and grosgrain ribbon add some detail too.
Well, it's a quick post as I have to take my son to the Children's Hospital for a follow-up Urology appointment. Hopefully the snow will stop as I hate driving in the stuff! Thanks for taking the time to pop on over and visit me. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a good start to the weekend! Stay warm!

An old Magnolia ....

Hello folks!
I hope you are all enjoying this last day before school starts up tomorrow (for us anyway!!). The weather is miserable; snowy, windy, cold. So, what better way than to spend my Sunday wrapped up in my craft room!
I popped over to The Stamp Shoppe blog and saw that the new challenge this month is to use an old Magnolia image. Well, this was one of my very first purchases from Magnolia - wow, hasn't Tilda grown up and changed along the way! OK, so now just having reviewed the challenge it also calls for your oldest paper too - hmmm, forgot to check that one off - this is BG Wisteria - not old at all! Ah well, I'll still submit it and perhaps I'll do another one!
Anyways, Tilda is coloured with my Distress Inks. I followed the sketch off Friday Sketchers and you may not be able to tell, but I used a half-circle of acetate and embossed it. I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous Wisteria paper!! Ribbon, mini flowers, pearl brads and the sentiment finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek today. I thank you for the comments you leave and hope you are able to take some inspiration from my card today.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Friday Sketchers - Tilda with Wreath

Hi all!
I managed to squeeze a bit of time in today and worked on this weeks Friday Sketchers sketch presented by Bea. It was a real fun one to work with and I knew I wanted to use my Magnolia papers for it.
This sweet Tilda with Wreath image is a RAK from my super sweet blogging friend, Christine - thanks my friend!! I coloured with my copics. I added red stickles to the berries on the wreath which add some nice sparkle to the finished image. The sentiment is also Magnolia. I punched out a few branches from my MS branch punch and placed them up in the left corner just to balance things out a bit. The buttons are from stash and I threaded and tied a bow with twine. The top button I placed the bow downwards and the other button the opposite. I did this on purpose and I really like the look!
Well, thanks for stopping by. I know how crazy this time of year is and I'm not getting around and leaving comments too frequently at the moment on the many blogs I visit. I am, however, taking a quick peek when I can as I follow these blogs for all the inspiration they give me!
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday evening and start to the weekend. I hope I can make some more Christmas cards to check off my list!
Hugs,

Friday Sketchers - Wrapped Tilda

Hello friends!
This weeks sketch over at the Friday Sketchers blog is hosted by Jeanette and she's given us a fab one to play with. My new Magnolia christmas stamps arrived today with my first sample of Magnolia paper. Oh my goodness, these papers are beyond gorgeous - I LOVE THEM!! Also, the challenge over at Color Create is to create a christmas card using RED, WHITE & GREEN, so I'm also submitting this card over on that challenge blog.
So, with new goodies in hand I got to work on this sweet christmas card using Wrapped Tilda. I coloured with my copics and whilst I'm quite happy with her bow, I'm not so much with her dress. I feel it's a little on the dark side but oh well, that's what happens when you don't have all the right shades of certain colours (my stock can only get built up slowly considering how expensive they are!!). I think I'll just say it's a velvet dress and velvet is very rich and lush, right?!!
I used the Fiskars Threading Water punch with the strip of lace over the top. The flowers were all glimmer sprayed and glamour dusted. I used the MS branch punch and a pearl pin (received in a candy win from Bev). The green panel behind Tilda is a nesties label 8. And that's it!
I'm teaching a Tilda card over at Heather's this morning so I'm looking forward to playing with the ladies! Thanks for coming by and visiting me and I hope you're all enjoying a beautiful Saturday!
Hugs,

Tilda with Presents

Happy Friday everyone!
I managed a card today - woohoo!! This is using the fabulous sketch by Jacque over at Friday Sketchers this week. I'm inking up this cute Tilda for the first time and have coloured her with my distress inks and Tombow markers. The paper is BG Eskimo Kisses and the panel behind Tilda I used a swirl stamp with versamark, clear embossed and distressed with distress inks. The snowflakes are an MS punch with a green adhesive jewel in he middle. I sewed around the main panel to add some extra detail and a thin burgundy grosgrain ribbon for a final touch. I got incredibly frustrated with tying the ribbon (I tied and re-tied it at least a dozen times, lol). Still not 100% happy with the way it is sitting, but oh well, it'll have to do! I gave the card a final spritzing with pearl Glimmer Mist to give it some extra sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting me - I really do appreciate it! Please leave a comment as I love to know who's visited so I can be sure to return the favour!
Have a great start to the weekend! And don't forget to sign up for my candy if you haven't already!!
Hugs,
Danielle x
