Alpine Tilda scene

Hello again!

I have so much fun making these adorable pop-up box cards!  This is the first wintery/christmas one I've made and I used the lovely Ski Tilda to create an Alpine scene.

The paper is Tim Holtz and the trees are a die cut (large & small sizes).  The big snowflake is one I embellished myself using Gesso and then sparkles. Tilda is coloured with copics and fussy cut out.

The wooden words were from the $1.50 bin at Michaels.  I just love them and the look the wood adds to the whole finished look.

Thanks for stopping in today and taking a peek!  Today is my finishing-up day for my craft fair tomorrow!  Still got lots to do but I'm off to yoga first to get my "zen" on!!  Have a wonderful day everyone!  Until next time .... happy crafting!!

Hugs,
Danielle

Wow ... it's been a while!

Good morning folks!

It seems, once again, I have rather neglected my blog lately!!  Life gets busy and unfortunately it's always my blog that gets put on the back burner!! I hope you are all keeping well!

I have been a busy bee in my craft room as I have signed up to do a craft fair this Saturday!  I have not done one in many many years so we'll see how it goes!  With that, I have many cards and fun Christmas items to show you all.

We'll start with this cute Tilda shaker card!  I have been having lots of fun with shaker & spinner cards recently - anything that moves & shakes is always extra fun!!  I love this card and it uses a couple of new items that I added to my craft room recently - the snowflake die from Memory Box and the scalloped frame die from MFT.

Tilda is coloured with copics, fussy cut and mounted on dimensionals.  The shaker items are a mix of beads and sequins.

We are already getting snow here so winter is definitely under way!  Well, I'm using my last couple of days to prep hastily for my craft fair!  If you're in the Ottawa area and want to come the fair is at the Johnny Leroux Arena in Stittsville from 10-4 on Saturday November 26th!

Until next time .... happy crafting!!

Tilda's Dragon

Hello!

My crafting time has taken a bit of a dive recently ... loss of mojo, together with lots of hours working and finally some nice Spring weather!  Hopefully I can get back on track soon!!

Well, it is a day late but here is my card for this weeks challenge over at Simply Create Too blog which is "Ladies Only".  Create a card with either a girl/woman image on it or a card that is specifically feminine.  Ideal with Mother's Day coming up!

I had this sweet Tilda & Dragon image already coloured up in my stash so I decided to make a simple card out of it.  I still have a couple of thank you cards to send out after our European vacation and I though this would make a sweet one.  Image is coloured with copics, paper is K&Co, MS picket fence border punch and SU sentiment.

It's a very simple layout and card but all I seem to have time for these days!

Thanks for stopping in an taking a peek and I hope you can pop over to Simply Create Too blog and join in with this weeks challenge!

I hope you're all enjoying some beautiful Spring sunshine - it is lovely here today and so good to feel and see the sun shining!  Have a wonderful weekend!

When Life is Sweet ...

Good morning folks!

I am back after a wonderful 2 1/2 week vacation in Europe!  We had a spectacular time seeing the sights in Paris, London & Edinburgh, with sunshine to boot!  Lots of family time in the western isles of Scotland followed by a quick stop in Cork and kissing the Blarney Stone!  Still catching up on the jet lag so its nice to be off work until Monday!

Well, I have a card for you today for the Simply Create Too Challenge over on the blog where todays theme is the colour combo of purple/green.  Personally, this is one of my favourite colour combos to work with so it was a fun make!  I decided to use some of my new sentiment stamps and my SU! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I added some distressing to finish up the card.

Some challenges I'm entering this card in for:-

Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart - Always Anything Goes

That's all for today folks!  Thanks for stopping in and hopefully I'll get a chance to blog hop a little bit later and catch up with you!

Have an amazing Friday and until next time ... happy crafting!!

Spring Flowers!

Good Morning friends!

It's been a crazy few weeks around here with numerous snow storms, snow days, sickness and general business.  Good to say we're all very much looking forward to Spring ... but on a side note happy to say we're heading on a March Break/Easter trip next Saturday to Paris, London, Edinburgh, Isle of Lewis and finishing up in Ireland.  It's going to be a whirlwind tour but we will be seeing family and hopefully some early signs of Spring!!  We're all very excited!

So, onto todays card which is my DT make for our 'Green Only' theme over at Simply Create Too blog for the next week.  I'm enjoying using more dies now on my cards and decided to make this simple and yet effective flower sprig card with a simple "thanks" on it.  The leaf die is from Memory Box and the flower is a small mini punch I picked up in Michaels. I used a small bling in each flower and added some ribbon.  The embossing folder is a relatively new one to my collection - it's so pretty!

Well, that's all today folks!  I hope you are able to pop over to the Simply Create Too blog and join in with todays challenge!

Thanks for coming for a visit here today. I always appreciate your visits and any comments that you leave - thank you!  Until next time .... happy crafting!!

Big Tease ... sexy card warning!!

Hello again!

I've been filling in a couple of Valentines Day card orders for my pop-up boxes and wanted to share with you on my blog!

I am loving making these boxes and I used the very sexy "The Big Teese" Slinky Tart digi image for this one! Isn't she just fabulous!!  She is coloured in with copic markers and fussy cut out.  I stayed with the classic colour combo of red, black & white for this one.

The addition of the feathers was inspirational on my part (haha)!  I love the showgirl feel it brings to the card and also a lot of fun dimension!

A different angle to show the different sides of the box.  You can also see I added a lips cut out to the pop-ups.

For final touches I added some pearls & bling to give it lots of pizzazz!  I hope you love it!

Some challenges I'm entering it into:-

Craft your Passion Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafting from the Heart Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar Challenge - 'Love is in the Air'
Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - 'Have a Heart'

That's all for now folks - thanks for stopping in today!  I always love to see you here and appreciate the time you take to leave a comment!  Until next time ... happy crafting!!

Happy {heart} day!

Hi there!

How did a month go by so fast??  Between work, family and other commitments it hasn't left me much time for blogging!  I have done a bit of crafting and am filling some orders so I will try and get them blogged soon!

Aside from that, today I have my Valentine project for Simply Create Too where todays challenge is "Love or Valentines".  I recently purchased this fabulous pop-up box die cut kit from Spellbinders and am just loving it!  This cutie is a Tiddly Inks image which I coloured up with copics and fussy cut out.  Papers, flowers and additional embellishments are all from my stash.

Another angle of the card shows a snippet of the Memory Box curly tree die adhered to the back!  I LOVE this die - super cute!

The sentiment stamps were a recent purchase from the $1.50 bin at Michaels!  I love those finds!

A final shot from above seeing the pop-up box from another angle.  This beauty got sold and have orders for more so I'll be busy this coming week.  Can't wait to show you the next one I've made!

Well I hope you're able to pop over to Simply Create Too and join in with the valentine/love creative challenge!  We are also doing a DT call so if you think you'd like to join the team upload your creation and give it a shot - we'd love to have you!

Some other challenges I'm entering my pop-up box into:-

Brown Sugar Challenge - Valentine/Love
Cute Card Thursday - In the Pink
Simon Says Stamp - Have a Heart
Craft your Passion Challenge - Always Anything Goes
Crafty Creations Challenge - Hearts

It's Party Time ... with Simply Create Too!

Hello!

Firstly, a very Happy New Year to you all!  Christmastime was extremely busy for me with work and family but very happy to say my craft room is complete and up and running!  I'm so incredibly happy  - what a great way to start crafting for 2016!

So, without further ado, here is my first creation of 2016!  I've used a wonderful creation by Kenny K and coloured her with copics.  I also treated myself to Kit & Clowder's skin & hair class which is absolutely phenomenal and slowly but surely I'm beginning to see more improvements with my colouring (lots of practice still needed)!!

So, for today's challenge over at Simply Create Too we are celebrating  with a "Party Time" theme - think birthdays, celebrations ... any reason to party!!  I hope you can hop on over and join in with the challenge and get your new crafty year off to a great start!

And for those of you who would like to see the new home of Delightful Designs, here is my newly renovated craft room!

Yes, I am a very lucky girl indeed!  I'm thrilled with how it has turned out and it truly is my happy place!!

So with that, a very happy Friday to you all and until next time .... happy crafting!!

Hugs,
Danielle x
