Zoe the Gymnast!

Hi there!

It's another Challenge Focus over at PaperWorksCo today and I decided to play with one of the new sports series images, Zoe the Gymnast.

Can you guess which challenges I entered?  Yup - went with the Strawberries & Cream themes out there this week!  This gorgeous paper is from 3 Bugs in a Rug (Bed of Roses) which I thought was perfect to complement Zoe.  I coloured Zoe using my copics and cut her out.  I followed the sketch and S&C challenge at Truly Scrumptious.  Ribbon, bling & crochet flower are all from stash.

Cupcake Craft Challenges also have the theme of Strawberries & Cream this week so I will enter my card there and at Creative Craft challenges they have Stamp it Up! as their theme.

All supplies used on this card are available at PWCO

It's raining today so maybe I'll even get a chance to pop into my craft room and enjoy some crafty time!  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend too!

Winter Wonderland - A 'Strawberries & Cream' Christmas!

Hi there!

I hope you are all well!  Another Friday and the first of the summer - my boys finished school yesterday and now have 10 wks off, eeek!  Let's just say I'm praying hard for sibling 'bliss' over the holidays!

Anyways, onto the card for the day.  It's another Winter Wonderland challenge and this week we're presenting the theme 'Strawberries & Cream'.  You can interpret as you like but of course with a 'christmas' theme to it.  I've opted for the colour combo and kept my card red & cream.  I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday this week.  I decided on a quick and easy card and instead of a coloured image used this fabulous NOEL stamp inked in black.  The papers are October Afternoon and I used the snowflakes embossing folder too.

I'm also entering this card into 'Truly Scrumptious' where the theme is Strawberries & Cream and also Cupcake Craft Challenges.

Well, thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful Friday and a fabulous start to the weekend!  I appreciate every comment you leave for me - I love reading them and they really do brighten up my day!

Take care,
Hugs,

Challenge Focus at PaperWorksCo

Hello!
Today is the first of my regular DT contributions to the PWCO blog - I'm so excited!!  Every Saturday there will be a 'Challenge Focus' where we get to choose (a) challenge/s from either SCS or blogland!  I scoured my regular favourites and found 3 (will list them at the end) that I could combine with this one card - gotta love that!!  Also, a friend has just had a baby boy so I thought I would check that off the list too!
And what's more perfect for a baby card than Harriet the Hippo!  I love these papers 'Nana's Nursery' from DCWV.  The sheet with the parade of animals is just ideal for this image and I adore the colours together.  I decided to make an easel card - that style of card always showcases the work so nicely!  Harriet is paper pieced and I think looks ever so cute in her spots!

I've used my new large scalloped circle nesties and button, ribbon & dew drops are from stash.  Harriet the Hippo can be found in the Safari Friends Collection here at PaperWorksCo.  Be sure to check out the store, Peggy has lots of yummy stuff available!

The 3 challenges are:-

Totally Papercrafts - 'Animal Magic'
Charisma Cardz - 'Spots & Stripes'

Thanks so much for stopping by today for a visit!  I love and appreciate every comment that you leave - thank you!  Be sure to keep an eye out for next Saturday as PWCO will be having another blog hop to release another new fabulous set of stamps!!

Hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend!

Winter Wonderland - Christmas Candies!

Hi there!
I have my Winter Wonderland DT card to show you today!  This week we have the theme of 'Christmas Candies' - you can either choose to use an image using Christmas candies or be inspired by the colours of them instead.  The DT have fabulous inspiration so be sure to pop on over and we'd love to see you join in with us this week.  There is also a wonderful prize of 2 Digi stamps from 'I Dit It Creations'!
For my card I've used the ever so cute Henry Mouse stamps again - this image just makes me smile every time I see it!!  Obviously, I chose candy canes and was lucky enough to find this fabulous dp in my stash of christmas papers!  Henry and his sweetie are coloured with copic markers.  The sketch is this weeks challenge over at Truly Scrumptious so I will enter my card in there.  Also, Quixotic Challenges has 'Emboss It' as their challenge this week so I will submit it there too!!
So glad you could come by again today - I will be back with a second posting soon for my PaperWorksCo blog hop!  I certainly hope you can visit again and thank you for all your beautiful comments.

Tilda with Kitty - A card for 2 challenges!

Hello all!

I hope you're all enjoying glorious sunshine like we are today! I inked up this sweet Tilda with cat for the first time and coloured with my copics. She's a real sweetie and I love it more than I thought I would!!

I pulled out these papers which have been sitting unused for way too long. It's not my normal colour scheme but I like it. I've used the sketch over at Truly Scrumptious this week. With the paper full of flowers & leaves and adhering my own flower/leaf embellishment I will also enter this card into the Quixotic Challenge this week which is 'Leave it Out' - to use leaves on your card. Instead of adding a sentiment I decided to link up this charm instead which says 'love'. The ribbon is SU! chocolate chip taffeta (so lush)!! Pearls are from my stash. I also used the MS Topiary border punch for the two panels behind Tilda.

I'm not sure if I'll get back into my craft room today. I have my #2 son, Joel, home sick with a tummy bug. He started throwing up at 2.15am this morning and completely missed the bowl beside him, LOL! So, lots of laundry needs to get done as well as nursing and pampering my sick buddy. Yesterday it was my eldest son - they seem to be taking turns. Let's hope it stops at this one!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments - they're very much appreciated! Enjoy the rest of your day whatever you're doing and be sure to stay safe!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge - Golfer's Birthday Card!

Hi there!
I hope you're all having a great day! I have all the kids at school today (yay!) so managed to get a birthday card done which I've been asked to do. I saw this weeks sketch challenge over at Truly Scrumptious and thought this would work perfectly for my card.
A golfers card was requested so I pulled out these cute new stamps which my sweet Mum had sent me recently. I paper pieced his vest and then used that same argyle paper for the squares. I found this awesome golf ball embellishment in my stash and placed it right where his club his - I think that works, don't you?! I coloured the image with my Tombow markers on watercolour paper. My neighbour is Jamaican so I wanted to be sure to colour him up in ethnic tones - I hope it looks ok! I cuttlebug embossed the back panel with the same argyle pattern.

And here's a quick glimpse at the inside of the finished card. I love this saying and I think it's perfect for anyone who 'plays'! ;)
Well, that's all for today folks! Thanks so much for stopping by - you know how much I appreciate your visits and comments! Have a great day!

A Truly Scrumptious Challenge Card

Hello!
I've been doing so well on challenges recently and here I am able to add to another one! This sketch is by the fabulous Mina for Truly Scrumptious. Again, I've used the MME papers from my fabulous PWCO Papercard Kit - 'Be Loved'.
I coloured in the gorgeous Hanglar image with my copics and matched the colours to the papers as best I could. I took white Prima flowers and used my copic airbrush system with R22 to colour match them. Some beautiful spacers with pale green brads, glimmer mist and glamour dust finish the flowers off. I used an SU! sentiment and added the gorgeous decorative brad that was included in the PWCO kit.
Well, that's it for today folks! I'm glad I even got a second posting in! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful evening - I'll be watching 'The Bachelor' - I was pretty smitten with Jake on 'The Bachelorette' and can't wait to watch this season. He is such delicious eye candy, lol, besides having his upstanding morals and values! Enough of my waffle ....
Thanks for your visit and hopefully I'll do some blog hopping a little later too. Hubby went off to Paris today so my next 4 evenings are free (once the kids are in bed that is)!!!!

A Truly Scrumptious Card!

Hello friends!
Thank you for popping over to my blog today for a visit. I have this sweet Tilda to show you from the So Jolly collection. I've used the sketch over on the Truly Scrumptious challenge this week - it was a nice simple one and I decided I needed that to get some quick cards made!
I have coloured Tilda with my copics. The frame she's sitting in I think was in a RAK I received from Christine (thanks my friend). I die cut around it using the Labels 8 nesties and distressed the outside edges with Tea Dye ink. The papers are Magnolia from The Little Stamp Shoppe. I added an organza ribbon and some branches along the bottom of the die cut panel. The sentiment is from The Stamp Barn. I placed two dew drops in each of the top corners.
I really like the way this turned out. I appreciate all your comments so thank you for taking the time to leave one!

Fall Tilda

Hello friends!
A quick posting today as I'm just off to visit a friend this afternoon. I've coloured up this sweet Tilda. She was one of my very first Tilda purchases but I do think she's lovely! I've used the fabulous sketch by Mina over at Truly Scrumptious this week with the theme of Autumn. I've coloured Tilda with my Distress Inks and distressed the edges too. The back panel is embossed with the floral screen folder. I used 3 different grosgrain ribbons and a selection of leaves and buttons from my stash to embellish the card. The leaves blowing around Tilda are from a Fiskars corner leaf punch.
I hope you're all enjoying your day and getting your fingers inky!! :)

Froggy Gift - A Truly Scrumptious Challenge!

Hello everyone!
My first High Hopes stamp arrived in the mail last week and I'm thrilled with it - and now a little hooked on these stamps!!  He is so cute and was just a dream to colour.  This will be a handy stamp for my collection what with 3 boys and lots of birthdays to make cards for!
This card is a Joy Fold Card and am using it for the Truly Scrumptious challenge this week which is to create a card with more than one fold.  This is the first time I've done one of these and it certainly won't be the last!  It is a really great card fold.  The tutorial can be found here
I coloured with my Distress Inks (Tattered Rose, Faded Jeans, Spiced Marmalade, Frayed Burlap, Shabby Shutters) and a couple of colours from my Tombow markers.  Paper, buttons, twine and eyelets from my stash.
The sentiment for the inside of the card is a $1.50 find from Michaels.  Apologies for the poor quality pictures, it is miserable weather here today and not very good light at all.
Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you enjoyed my posting and are able to join in with this fun challenge today.  Take care!
Hugs,
