Winter Wonderland - Let's see some embossing!!

Hi there!
So sorry I haven't been around for the last few days - I seem to have been hit with the flu!  Lots of aches & pains and fatigue which has definitely sent my mojo off to never-never land!!!  Hopefully it'll come back soon - I'm already feeling better today ... :)
Anyways, the challenge over at Winter Wonderland this week is set by our lovely Avril - embossing.  Poor Avril is having computer problems so we are missing her wonderful contributions until she gets that remedied.
I decided to not touch my cuttlebug this time for embossing but to show you something different - embossing paste with a brass template.  This is such a fun technique and I love the simple and quick results that can be achieved.  Apologies for the glare off the acetate on the picture - can't figure out how to edit that properly!!  I used the lovely NOEL template and placed it on a piece of acetate (adhered down with masking tape).  I used white embossing paste and whilst it was still wet I sprinkled it with glamour dust to get all the sparkle.  Leave it to dry for a good few hours.
Th dp is from stash (sorry, don't remember the name) and I used glue dots in the corners to place down the acetate.  Flat sticky brads cover the dot!
I hope you like it and be sure to pop on over to Winter Wonderland to see all my teamies fabulous embossed creations this week!  I hope you're able to join in with this weeks challenge - we'd love to see you there!  There is also lots of new & exciting news from the blog - this challenge will last until April 22nd as our challenges are moving to a FRIDAY - yes, FRIDAY!!!
I'm also going to enter this into Totally Gorjuss which has texture for their challenge this week.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I sure hope I can get down to my craft room and play a little later today.  Thank you too for all your lovely comments - they are truly appreciated!
Hugs,
Danielle x

Fabulous idea to use that brass template and paste. I've seen that on the Create and Craft channel once many moons ago and thought it a great effect.
I do hope your lurgy goes away soon hun.

What a great idea to use the brass template for the NOEL. I just love this white glitter...It reminds me of snow! I have some of those templates, I am so glad you gave us some inspiration to bring those back out to play with! I REALLY hope you are feeling much better soon!

I love the simplicity of the card - though I don't know if I could be patient enough to wait for the paste to dry!

So pleased you are feeling a little better.
I wish someone would let us know how to get rid of the glare, there must be a way !!
Gorgeous as ever your card, all your Christmas cards will be done at this rate.
