Waiting for Christmas!

Hi there!
I'm just back in from my yoga class and ready for my day ahead! Today I'm posting this card which I've had all the elements made up and sitting on my desk for an age! Then my dear friend, Lorraine, sent me this cute this calendar stamp in the mail this year and BINGO! it was the final piece to the card puzzle! As soon as I put the calendar in the top left hand corner, the card came together perfectly and I can't tell you how much I love it! The background paper is plain blue which I watermarked with a snowflake stamp from Sunshine Designs (it's difficult to see in the photo). The trees are from Magnolia which I stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with tombow markers, spread liquid applique and sprinkled with silver glitter before heating and puffing it up. I cut them out which was quite time consuming but I love the final look. I machine stitched around the frame of the card to add some simple detail and used a christmas embellishment 'NOEL' on the corner of the calendar. I didn't use traditional christmas colours on this card but I love the tones of purple and blue hues. The calendar stamp is from Imaginisce.
Below is a picture of the inside of the card. Again, it's a little difficult to see but I watermarked a snowflake image in each corner.
Thanks for taking the time to look today! Your views are always so much appreciated.
Hugs,
Danielle
